I am the sole designer of Graffina, formerly known as Mimi Matloob Designs. I am very passionate and inspired by the world of art, design and architecture. I love to create and love to stir a viewer’s emotions. I started as a Fine Arts oil painter but got my degree in Graphic Design. Based in Los Angeles, California I have over 27 years of experience in oil painting, fine art, art direction, creative direction, graphic design and illustration.
Several years ago I had the opportunity of owning and operating a contemporary art gallery for four years where I represented emerging and some established artists. It was the most rewarding, challenging and exciting time of my life and I very much miss going to the artists studios and choosing their artwork for their up coming shows.
At this time, the artwork that I design are created digitally. I obsess over discrete details and the harmony of color and composition. Most of my designs are architecturally inspired since I am so drawn to the shapes and patterns they create. The process includes digital drawing, painting and collage, as well as other techniques such as repetition and color filtering. Many steps and layers are combined to create each unique design.
Hope you enjoy my work!
